Jesus plus Moses equals Obama

This would be incredibly funny if it weren’t so scary. Here is Obama’s promise to the people:
I am absolutely certain that generations from now, we will be able to look back and tell our children that this was the moment when we began to provide care for the sick and good jobs to the jobless; this was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal.
As Charles Johnson summed it up: “He’s going to heal the sick and make the oceans part.” Apparently Obama is beginning to believe his own hype. I wonder if God is listening and complicit. Somehow I doubt it.

Howdy Bookworm,
All I can say is, “Wow.” The hubris in this is fantastic…
As a professed Christian, doesn’t he know that Christ said the poor you will have with you always?
“For ye have the poor with you always, and whensoever ye will ye may do them good…”
Is Obama seriously one-upping the Christ Himself? I hope he does not mean this.
The endeavor of every politician and the promise they make is always to mitigate the effects of poverty and sickness. Who doesn’t want this? Is Obama saying that he will accomplish what no man has ever done from time immemorial?
Of course he is, Thomas. He can promise this because if he succeeds, we’ll all be earning just the same…you know…”From each according to his abilities, to each according to his needs”!
Wow… this is a Magical Mystery Tour de Farce!
So…Obama will heal the planet - will that be before or after another set of 10 plagues.
