I’ve been outed!

Read about it here.  Be very, very careful to read the whole post from the beginning, because context is everything.  (It’s also a great post, especially if you like vintage BMWs.)

None that I’ve been involved with has ever had a lawyer or a law officer on it.

That’s because lawyers will strike anyone with legal knowledge from a jury so fast it will make your head spin. That why I always get stricken – I have a paralegal degree.

It ain’t much, but it’s been enough to flag me on every voir dire I’ve attended.

Don and you, Book, both being lawyers and both interested in stopping judicial over-reach and injustice, should read the post.

As I mentioned before, the first step to undermining the law is to undermine the minds of the people participating in the law.

When a juror is ignorant and must look towards the judge for how to conduct himself, who holds true power, the judge or the jury? An imbalanced system is not a just system.

Whoa, Book. I can ID a lot of people by their height and profile – you’d better get your hair redone…fast!

That was funny. Good on ya both.

I’ve already confessed that I’m short. As for the hair, that’s today’s hair. I got fed up with my hair cut (he wouldn’t cut it short enough), so I took the shears to it myself. Whether it remains in that shape for more than a week or two is questionable!

You had to have known that to someone like me, that kind of hint might as well be a glaring admission of jokery.

    Book,

Ahhhh. I remember you in the good oid days — with the apple in your face.

This new-you is much more attractive, and you are especially enhanced being adjacent to our friend Laer.

The best to you and the family,

    In Christ,

    ExP(Jack)

    Ymar…

    Re: your link…

Very interesting discussion. Equally interesting is the fact that I recognize three of the “pro-nullification” commenters as former military men (from comments made on milblogs) – exactly those that Ozzie might think would be in favor of stronger legal enforcement. Interesting, no??

Book…I agree – the ring could be an identifier!!

Who are the three you mentioned, suek?
