I can’t think of a clever quip for this story, but I know it’s in there.  Can you come up with something?

Paris City Hall wants to strip art school models of the tips they receive from painters and sculptors — and the nude models decided they weren’t going to take that with their clothes on.

About 15 models braved near-freezing temperatures to strip outside the city’s cultural affairs bureau Monday to protest a new municipal order that again bans the age-old practice of tipping those who pose nude. The order affects about 100 people.

   When college kids tip cows, are not the bovines nude?

   Nobody makes a big deal of it, so why should I object to tipping nude humans?

   I know….a bit lame. But, it distracted me from grading Final Exams!

   I can take it — I’ve been married almost 40 years, I’ve raised two kids, and I’ve been teaching school for 30+ years….

   Besides, I just finished grading the Science and Society exams, and I’m floating about 6 inches off the floor.

   What can expat say to compete with (or dampen) THAT feeling?!

   Expat can give you some exams to grade.

    At least when my students fail, they don’t take the country down with them…..not yet, anyhow.

    I need to think about something cheerful — even tomorrow’s A&P Final is more cheerful than what Y-mar wants me to think about!
