The only thing that would driven the point home harder would have been John Edwards singing the song.

Today Andrew Breitbart used a phrase I hadn’t heard before:  the Democrat-Media Complex.
    (Link:  http://biggovernment.com/2009/11/21/thanks-for-paying-attention/)
I think that an accurate description which should be used as a replacement for terms such as “MSM”, “legacy media”, and the like.  It more accurately reflects the way things. are.

I hope that everyone has by now figured out that the Dem-Media Complex does not have the country’s best interests at heart and so when they hand out any kind of advice at all, especially advice for how Republicans and conservatives ought to comport themselves, they are not doing us any favors at all.  We would probably be better off doing the opposite of what they recommend.

After all, isn’t listening to Democrats how we ended up with John McCain as our candidate last year?

I have doubts about Glenn Beck and the message he is trying to send.  Recently, Charles Murray called him a demagogue and I have to say that Beck sounds like one.  I am not a fan of populism, it is an ideology without purpose other than to contrast elite and common opinion.  Populism is anti-intellectual.  I don’t think we need to exorcise intellectuals from the conservative movement and Beck could use a little fact checking.
Populism eventually loses it’s appeal because the American people are intelligent enough to see that their problems are not always the result of a cabal so I rather that Beck not lead to many down the wrong road rather than towards a constructive effort towards smaller gov’t and more liberty.
