Television for Tea Partiers

Cool, very cool:  TV for conservatives, and it’s not Fox.  Not that there’s anything wrong with Fox, of course (although I’m not excited about the Saudi ownership).  But we shouldn’t have just one conservative media outlet, ranged against the rest of TV, not to mention Hollywood.

I’m also feeling smug, because I’m listed as a Friend at RightNetWork.  More than that, you’ll see that, as a Friend, I’m in very good company.  Please check it out.  As you know, I adore alternatives to the MSM.  Anything that dilutes the MSM is good as far as I’m concerned.  We need media alternatives so that people can get a broad range of ideas, rather than one hyper-liberal, increasingly antisemitic point of view.  (I don’t know when, if ever, I’ll recover from that Time Magazine cover story.)

Anyway, back to the main point:  it looks interesting, it looks well organized (always a virtue), it looks intelligent, and it looks like something we should all hope succeeds as part of the alternative media.

Why should you recover from the Time Magazine cover story?  It’s a heinous, nasty piece of work.  You still haven’t posted an image of that cover, by the way!  It alone is bad enough.

I wonder if there’s anyone left at Time Magazine with enough ethical or moral fiber to feel ashamed that they work for a company that would put out something this nasty and horrifying.  If I worked there, I’d be emailing all my friends, making sure they knew I had nothing to do with this travesty.  And every time I walked past a copy of that issue, with that cover, past a newsstand on the street or the magazine counter in a convenience store, I’d feel shame.

It is a low from which one expects Time Magazine should not “recover”.

The media is the enemy. They have always been someone’s enemy. But lately, they are specifically and only enemies of… us.

Sorry to be OT, but no open thread today.  Just had to point out two stories on Drudge today.

Good thing that Muslims are so much more mature than those vindictive Christians who would kill someone over burning a bible.  Oh wait, did I get that backwards or something?

We aren’t so much doomed by our elite’s lack of belief in Christianity as our elite’s belief that America is the source of all evil in the world (and everyone else is better).

Our entire ruling class is not just wrong, they are idiots!

My heart is broken that I didn’t make the first day, but I guess the second is all right.
