The utter depravity and nihilism of modern Islamic terrorism

The Watcher’s Council submissions this week are extraordinary, but this one rises head and shoulders above them all.  I don’t want it to be buried in the long list of articles that makes up the Watcher’s Council submissions.  This deserves to be read, read again, shared, analyzed, and otherwise trumpeted far and wide, because it is phenomenally important.  It is the most direct statement I’ve yet seen, not about the nature of Islam, but about the nature — the nihilism and depravity — of the violence committed in Islam’s name.  Moreover, it refuses to let the West pretend that the violent is anomalous, rather than being an intrinsic part of modern Islam.  In the same way, it is a scathing indictment of the moral cowardice and political correctness that renders the West incapable of acknowledging that modern Islam is very, very sick.  Its stark reality must be countered or it will destroy the world much more surely that Chicken Little fears about the earth warming.

People still think Democrats are normal in the US and what the world expects of normal people and voters.

If Westerners can’t even recognize its internal evil, by what divine right should they be allowed to recognize external evils?

“What we have today, uniquely in human history, is a terrorism that seems myopically focused on killing as many people as possible and which has no clear political goals and no stated territorial aims.”

This guy needs to go back to remedial history class. His degree isn’t worth the paper it is printed on.

Unique in human history? Islam has been like this for the last 1500 years.

How are a bunch of ignorant peasants that don’t even know the history of their civilization, going to understand the answer of the modern day?

Even if he got an answer, he couldn’t face the truth. Whether that’s his fault or his society’s fault for raising him up wrong, I don’t really care.

    Greetings:
For over a decade now, I have viewed Islam as nothing more than the globalization of 7th Century Arab tribal culture overlaid with a thin veneer of religion.
Islam is the millstone. If your plan doesn’t include constraining, undermining, or eradicating Islam, you don’t have a plan. What you have is a hope.

I’m old enough to understand that we will never eliminate depravity and envy from human nature. In a way, we’re like Sisyphus, doomed to roll the rock up the hill only to see it roll back down again.

In our case, the rocks are Marxism and Islam. They should be destroyed. Yes, I know that as soon as they have been extirpated, something just as bent and evil will arise to force us back into Sisyphean mode.

But, as Eleanor Roosevelt once so eloquently stated, “Nevertheless.”

There’s a new interview with Rumsfeld out. Has some interesting insights into how Bush ran his administration, and explains to some extent why it is that Bush always seemed to backtrack at “critical times”.

It always appeared to me like he was listening to some kind of “advice” from other people.
