Racism, sexism and political elections

Eric-Odessit, who has his own blog at Conservative Liberal, has taken the heated (but always polite) discussion that’s been going on in comments here about racism, and run with it. I won’t summarize or quote here what he has to say. I’ll just give you my conclusion: he’s right. As you read his post, keep in mind (and he’ll remind you) that he grew up in the former Soviet Union. this means that he, unlike most Americans, has a very clear understanding of true government power versus the personal preferences and beliefs of individual citizens.
