“Watch this space”
I have to get some deadline intensive paying work done this morning, so I’m writing this post both as notice of that fact and as an open thread for you all to leave your comments about last night’s debate.
I live-blogged at American Thinker (and since I was using my iPhone, my thumbs are still sore), while sitting in a roomful of fellow conservatives. We all thought McCain could have done better, but acknowledged that we weren’t the ones sitting before millions of people in the hot seat. Overall, though, everyone in the room thought that McCain finally figured out that this is a fight, and not a genteel tea-party, and he was on. He scored some really good hits, which Obama never did — although Obama held his own, often by smoothly stated outright lies.
By the way, of the good hits, the best was inadvertent: “Senator Government.” Oh, yeah! Freud would have a field day with that one.
Speaking of paying work, I’m embarking on a long-term project next week that will see me locked into an 8-12 work schedule. I haven’t yet figured out how to get the blogging in: rise earlier? stay up later? Fear not, though. Even though my schedule will shift, blogging is enough of a compulsion that I’ll still be here.
