Quiet day open thread

Sorry for the silence but, while I know there are a lot of happy people out there today after South Carolina, I am not one of them. Rather than wallow in unhappiness arising from something about which I can do nothing, I’ve opted to give myself a break from the news cycle, both as a reader and a writer. Having a cold helped make this an easy decision.

I’ll be back, I promise, but I need to recharge.
