The Watcher’s voted and it was good
The Watcher’s are still a little gypsy-like right now, with this week’s host being Soccer Dad. We’re confident that, in a week or two, we will have settled on a wonderful new and stable home.
I have to digress a moment here. I was thinking about the difference between Council and Presidential elections. With the Council, I’m overwhelmed by quality. I invariably after to choose between 12 exceptionally good Watcher’s posts, and up to 14 equally good “other” posts from all over the blogosphere. Reading them is an unusual pleasure; selecting my top two favorites in each category is a stressful task, because I often wish that I could award top to status to at least five, often more, articles and posts. This all contrasts strongly with federal elections, which I’m definitely not in the waffly middle. From my point of view, there is no contest in this election. The more I know about Barack Obama, the more I support John McCain. Digression over. Back to the Council.
Here are this week’s results, both Council and non-Council. Although the ultimate outcome doesn’t quite match my votes, I heartily concur with the outcome, and am very flattered that enough Council-members voted for me to place me in a second place tie with Wolf Howling:
