Jihadist caught in the act

One of the things the jihadists have been very good at is playing the MSM. I’ve always thought the turning point was when the Palestinians had the brilliant idea to make Hanan Ashwari their spokesperson. You remember that personable, educated, charming woman? She was everywhere, talking about freedom from the Israeli jackboots. Nobody in the MSM bothered to look behind her claims and actually examine either the tremendously corrupt and evil Arafat or his organization, the PLO. I think Ashwari deserves enormous credit for increasing the PLO’s standing, and elevating it from a murderous group of thugs into a player on the world stage.

While Israel never learned the lesson of having a personable spokesperson — instead hewing to tight lipped “military spokesmen” and unappealing old men — the terrorists have taken careful notes. They make sure that they put on the world stage charming, personable men and women who are the human equivalents of Therezienstadt — placid fronts for unimaginable evil.

Sometimes, though, they get caught. And today, LGF has a link to a Dan Sytman audio that exposes British Muslim apologist Azzam Tamimi by juxtaposing a personable, reasonable NPR appearance with his violent jihadist rantings demanding the destruction of the West. It’s a microcosm of the way in which the Western press is routinely played by the terrorists, to the point where, willingly or not, it has turned itself into just another terrorist media outlet.

I won’t claim that the Western press is intentionally complicit with the terrorists. However, given the recent deluge of information showing how the terrorists lie and manipulate the media, any member of the media who credulously accepts what these people say, without making an effort to examine the back story, is just as guilty as someone who intentionally works with these terrorists to relay their propaganda.
