The title of this post describes how I felt when I read this fawning article in the SF Chronicle about Bore’s appearance on Capitol Hill, especially since its ultimate paragraphs have Babs Boxer practically eulogizing Bore without his having to go through the bother of dying first. This is not reasoned analysis; this is politics as self-congratulatory spectacle. Yuch!

And, Bookworm, this explains clearly why the Donks and Hollywood are in a perpetual Love-fest: they’re simply “twins” in this regard. I quit watching Emmys/Oscars/etc years ago for that reason.
