The only thing that makes this less good is that (a) he didn’t suffer enough and (b) it didn’t happen years ago. Otherwise, hurrah! hurrah! hurrah!

Just remember: When we kill cockroaches we don’t try to make them suffer. We just stomp the living daylights out of them and move on.
This Hezbully cockroach has been stomped!
2008.02.13 Politics and National Defense Roundup…
This post will grow as the day goes on. Don’t forget to check back later. In case you missed it last night: Obama, McCain Sweep Potomac Primaries As much as I enjoy seeing Billary suffer, I’d rather see it happen in November. That Obama kid’s starti…
Do not wish your enemy to suffer. Rejoice that he is gone.
Sorry, Ellie2: I’m Jewish and we do wish our enemies to suffer and be destroyed (read the Bible after the Babylonian captivity), although we’re perfectly happy if God chooses someone other than ourselves to be the instruments of that destruction. Jews believe in paying the price for immoral, Godless behavior, and this monster falls comfortably within the category of one who, by his conduct, has fallen outside the pale of ordinary human respect and consideration.
(a) he didn’t suffer enough
Think of it this way, Book. In order to make him suffer enough, we have to devote time, resources, and creativity coming up with ways to make him suffer before he dies. The mass death assembly methods we currently use allows us to kill far more people, Book.
So you have to choose. Quality or quantity?
I don’t know who said this but it is true “hate is a corrosive that destroys the vessel that carries it”. So, let it go. I’m not Jewish and I am taught to pray for my enemies.
I’m not holding on to any hate, Ellie. I’m just as pleased as an agnostic Jew can be, however, that God has seen fit to smite one who was an enemy of Israel and America and civilized people the world over.
I’m a Christian, and I’m not only jumping up and down and passing out candy, I’m celebrating that they got this bastard with a CAR BOMB!! Talk about poetic justice.
Furthermore, while I’m in the group that believes the dead are asleep in the grave until the Second Coming, I am quite confident that this guy is going to be swimming in the lake of fire when his turn for judgment comes….and that makes me smile, too!!
So, let it go. I’m not Jewish and I am taught to pray for my enemies.
I am neither Jewish nor Christian nor Muslim, and I was taught that he who would seek to destroy me shall be destroyed by my allies or me first.
Those that cannot feel joy at the progress of human goodness and liberty in this world, also cannot feel sadness for human misery and self-destruction. When the same emotion is felt for both things, what separates them from the other?
hate is a corrosive that destroys the vessel that carries it
That’s only true for those that feel hate.
To care for the progress of humanity, the tribe of humanity, requires the capacity to love. And so long as hatred of your enemies comes from the love held for others, it is self-sustainable.
It is only when hatred overbalances the priority on protection and preservation that it begins to corrode, because now there is nothing holding the intent to destroy and maim in check.
