A few quick picks before I head back to work

Ann Coulter, writing about Bill Ayers, reminds us that, when she’s not offensive and obnoxious, she’s brilliant.
Neo-neocon, also brilliant, examines the bizarre classist attacks the Progressives (i.e., the self-styled “Party of the People”) make against one of the real people, Sarah Palin.
James Taranto has my favorite discussion (so far) of the Democratic proposal to destroy your 401(k) plan. BTW, this is no grandfathered plan, that will see new 401(k)s destroyed. Nope. This is a plan that will simply take your money away.
Neal Boortz gives the undecideds some food for thought.
Bruce Bawer reminds us that, while we’re fighting for the future in America, there’s another fight going on in Europe, and Europe seems simply to have given up. In Norway, the establishment stood there with it’s finger up its nose and drool coming out of its mouth as the largest Muslim Council left open for future debate (presumably after the coming successful jihad) the question of excecuting homosexuals. Strangely, American gays, who are shrieking about Prop. 8 in California as if really will see them executed, are quiet about this too.
While Obama’s been desperately trying to retrofit his fit for an Illinois bill that required, in unlimited language, sex education for kindergartners, England’s gone ahead and done the thing. It doesn’t seem to occur to the Brits that their skyrocketing youth pregnancy rate could be challenged by morality, not how-to lessons for babies.
And lastly, a reminder of why I keep my political views to myself, living in a bluer than blue neighborhood.

The Boortz piece looks like a winner! I’ve browsed it, but will soon read the whole thing.
Aside from that piece, the best news in all those links is this excerpt from further down the Taranto article:
Conservatives and Republicans have complained that the media are in the tank for Barack Obama, as did Hillary Clinton supporters back in the day. It turns out that this perception is widely shared. According to a new survey from the Pew Research Center for the People and the Press, 70% of Americans “believe that the media wants Barack Obama to win the presidential election.” Only 9% think the media are pulling for John McCain, with 21% saying they don’t know or the media are neutral.
Turns out the ground is far more fertile for our coming conservative revolution than I thought. And I may have to admit, the American people may be much smarter than I’ve been giving them credit for.
Correction, BW. Sort of a large typo re Bawer article: Muslims are debating about killing homosexuals, not Muslims.
