Take a poll about Obama and the economy

It’s a totally unscientific poll, but there’s no reason not to let your voice be heard.

UPDATE:  Welcome, Wizbang readers!  Since Kim was kind enough to give me a big link for a little blog post, I feel as if I ought to say more on the topic.  With regard to the poll itself, it’s simply nice to let the folks at Yahoo and AT&T know that conservatives are paying attention.

This paying attention leads to the larger issues of (a) making sure our voices are heard and (b) enabling the conservative leadership know how to reach us and disseminate the facts that support our instinctive belief that Obama’s power grab is a dangerous trend.

During the run-up to the election, so many people stopped paying attention.  They were excited by the prospect of a “first,” any first; they were dazzled by the prospect of this first being a doozy, namely the first black president; and they were grossly uninformed by a media that is still doing its level best to keep Obama insulated from tough questions.

It’s no surprise that, as hard facts keep penetrating beyond the protective shield the media has wrapped around Obama, more and more Americans are getting very worried.  Our country is our home, and each of us knows that you don’t spend your way out of debt, you don’t pass the management of your household off to some very weird people, and you don’t trust someone who lies blatantly and on a regular basis.

The mere fact that you zipped over here to take a silly poll means that you are one of those who cares and who wants to have his/her voice heard.  That’s the first step to ensuring the preservation of traditional American liberties.  Now, do something more.  Write your representations, in both the House and the Senate, to express your displeasure with both Cap-and-Trade and the proposed health care bill.  Be polite, but dazzle them with facts.  And be sure to remind them that, when they’re next up for election, it won’t be their good friend Barack Obama who is in the polling booth — it will be your, and your family, and your friends.  They are responsible to you, not Barack Obama.
