Watcher’s Council nominations for July 7, 2010

Sometimes it really pains me that I can vote for only two Watcher’s Council nominations in each category (Council and non-Council).  This week’s nominations are a perfect example of that frustration.  On both the Council and the non-Council side, the quality of the work submitted is extraordinary.  When voting, I refused to play eeny-meeny-miney-mo to choose my ultimate vote getters, but it was really difficult to decide which submissions should be wheated and which chaffed.  (I like the preceding sentence, as it has six words spell check finds objectionable.)  Here, see for yourself:

The post the Caroline Glick wrote won the Non-Council part of the award.

It’s an amazing piece of work outlining the horrid world-wide campaign against Insrael.  Eye opening and shocking to me!  And I thought I knew how bad things were!  They’re PLENTY WORSE than even I imagined.

Yes, Caroline, you’re right, Israel must start fighting back with much greater rigor, or accept complicity in what is happening.

It has been said that there will be no peace until Palestinians love their children more than they hate Israel’s children.

This is what I say. There will be no prosperous future for Israel if they are not willing to kill every Palestinian family if such is necessary to guarantee a future free of death for Israeli children.

The deficiency and lack of standards is not exactly all on the Palestinian side. Israel deserves their fair share of the blame, for allowing Palestinians free and unfettered to kill more Jews. Jews that Israel was ostensibly supposed to be there to “protect”.

Israel’s government, just like the United State’s government, is no longer recognizable as an entity that exists on behalf of the people the government derives its power from.

There are consequences to that. Most of them aren’t good.

DEA agent video, as always, to demonstrate the reality behind the slogan:

We’re from the government, we’re here to help you.
