Obama — a man of distinction

Who needs an expensive PR firm when a clever American, armed with a computer, can create such a devastating video about Obama, our gum chewing (including chewing gum at memorial services), golf playing (including hitting the links on Memorial Day, apparently unburdened by his Commander in Chief status), surprisingly arrogant president?

The president chews gum in public? What a truly, pathetically classless guy.

  • http://rockportconservatives.blogspot.com/ Ruth H

I’m afraid I see this as nitpicking.  That is the least of his faults.  I think it probably  has to do with not smoking anymore.  Many people who quit smoking take up gum chewing. I a real anti-obamaite, but this is nit picking.  You are not the only one doing it, obviously someone made that video.  So much more to criticize, all  his policies for example, this is just a gnat when there is a 747 ready to bomb us.

  • Charles Martel

Ruth H, I see it as one item in what I hope will be a very large case against him come 2012. Gum chewing doesn’t make a man fit or unfit for the presidency, but it is one of many classless things that he does.

I think you’re right about the gum chewing. But since he never smoked at public occasions why would he chew gum at them? Couldn’t he wait to stick a stick in his mouth once he’s out of sight, just as he would have done when he was smoking?

  • Danny Lemieux

Does he chew gum with his mouth open or closed and does he talk when he chews?

  • Mike Devx

How did the creator of the video forget about this shot of our classless president, striding to his Camera Moment, while behind him Sgt. Crowley assists Dr. Gates down the White House steps?

And the recent faux-pas of continuing to speak at the British State event (his “To The Queen” toast) while the orchestra has already struck up her anthem.  If you haven’t seen it, it’s cringe-worthy…

The amazing thing is, he never seems to learn.  It’s not just that he gets caught in a momentary faux-pas.  Many of these take time, and a more reflective, less arrogant man would be more self-aware!  (chewing and chewing chewing the gum; carrying on with his toast for more than twenty seconds…)

Or just bad decision-making due to extreme egocentrism.  “Let’s see, it’s Memorial Day, and millions of Americans are honoring their dead soldiers today… Hmmm… I really really want to go golfing… but perhaps that’s going to look really bad.  I am the President and I have responsibilities to set the right tone.  Perhaps I should wait for a better, less solemn day?”  Nah, not our Bammie!  “I really really want to go golfing, and there are scads of Americans out there picnicking and golfing and whatever… and I’m the President!  I can do what I want!  Let’s hit the links!”

The 2012 election will hinge a lot on visuals. Fortunately for us, Obama has racked up tens of thousands of feet of great visuals that will require very little explanation:

—Bowing to dictators, including a Chinese mass murderer, and one of the Arab world’s greatest Jew haters

—Sending Air Force One to fly menacingly over lower Manhattan near the site of the Twins

—Snubbing Netanyahu at the White House

—Dissing SCOTUS at the State of the Union message

—Wearing mom jeans (for God’s sake!)

—Throwing a baseball like at girl at opening day

—Putting his feet up on the Oval Office desk like a hick

—Spilling the beans to Joe the Plumber

    —Chewing gum in public

—Setting up a bank of teleprompters to deliver remarks at a frickin’ grammar school

—Flying to Copenhagen on taxpayers’ dimes to pitch Chicago to the Olympic Committee

—Calling publically on Latinos to fight their “enemies”

—Getting needlessly (and cluelessly) involved in the silly Henry Gates/Cambridge PD brouhaha

—Taking vacation, after vacation, after vacation

—Spending $400,000 in taxpayer money to take his wife out for a night on the town in New York

I’m sure other folks here can supply more.

Bush put his legs on the desk, but it was on the protected portion. Obama went out of his way to put his boot on the desk’s wooden surface.

Ruth H:  In the law, there’s something called “pattern and practice” evidence.  It means that, if someone invariably has a particular pattern of behavior, you can introduce that into evidence to show that it is more likely than not that, on another occasion, he followed that same pattern.  For example, if the last thing a smoker does every single night is have a cigarette and fall asleep with the cigarette in his mouth (a practice his wife has been complaining about for years), you can use that pattern and practice as evidence showing that the fire started in the smoker’s bedroom resulted from his smoking himself to sleep.

In the same way, the images in this video, as well as the other ones Mike and Charles have mentioned, go beyond any specific behavior.  Instead, they show a pattern.  Or maybe two patterns, since they point both to his innate classlessness (nobody with class chews gum at a memorial service, no matter the nicotine craving) and to his incredible narcissism (because a large element of his classlessness derives from his sense that the rules don’t apply to him).

    Obama – man of distinktion!

Thanks Bookworm! That’s probably the best thing anyone has wriiten about one of my videos.

Ruth H, you are the one who is misguided. The gum chewing is crass. His behavior added to the many other rude behaviors, such as putting his shoes on  the Oval Office desk and table dozens of time, you get a picture of a man who disrespects the country. I’ve shown this over and over again in video for two years.

I am trying to do to Obama what the Democrats did to Bush…make him an object of ridicule.  I don’t make anything up. He brings it on himself. I make videos on every aspect of Obama, some serious, some not. I even go places where others fear to go.

I’ve been following Obama closely for years. I read everything I can about him, listen to his speeches ( yawn) and check every photo of him I can get my hands on. I am fascinated by him and also feel his presidency is the biggest con job ever pulled over on the American public.

Book, they use that to get warrants for drug bases as well.

The neighbors basically watch, video tape, annotate, and write down the times and dates and license plate numbers of all the cars that keep going into that house. After months of that, a warrant is very easy for the police to get based upon that data.

It may not be admissible in court, but it’s more than enough for a grand jury for arrest.

  • http://ymarsakar.wordpress.com Ymarsakar

That’s because all the license plates keep coming up with drug convictions and arrest warrants, you see.

  • Granny Jan

Mike, who ya’ talkin’ to? The video consisted of all new photos and video clips except for the G8.
I have used the Gates photo numerous times. It was a WH photo along with all of these pictures from the Oval:

    Hi, Granny Jan!
Didn’t mean to dis you.  I can see now that you’re creating a chronological video set.  And the effort you put into each one.  I’ve been saying for awhile, “Video is where the game is at,” and you’re right in there fighting the good fight.

Your link in #13, with Obama’s feet on the desk and on-everything-else, highlights the casual disrespect he has for the office of the Presidency itself.  (Also consider all the bowing…)  Most presidents approached the office with a sense of humility.  I’m especially mindful of the example George Washington set, in his comportment and throughout his speeches and letters.  Not this current president, he of the vainglorious narcissism.

And I agree about the con job.  If he wins in 2012, you’re *really* going to see its full effects then.

  • Granny Jan

I was just kidding, Mike.  Here’s my channel page http://www.youtube.com/user/RobtKraft?feature=mhee

    and my blog http://grannyjanandjihadkitty.blogspot.com/

I don’t make any money from the videos. You Tube sometimes puts
an ad on them because of the copyrighted song used.
The ad on the current video is Barack Obama 2012 giving his thumbs up to the Man of Distinction.

    To ALL:
I’m not saying the man is NOT crass, classless, clueless or even a Manchurian candidate.  I’m saying with all his faults this is the size of a gnat as opposed to a 747.  He is everything we all seem to think he is but there is so much to criticize why bother with chewing gum.  The man is evil, he wants to and seems to be working at, bringing down our country.  Hit him with the big complaints, not this.

  • http://ymarsakar.wordpress.com Ymarsakar

He is everything we all seem to think he is but there is so much to criticize why bother with chewing gum.

Because the enemy can only defend against a limited number of attacks. Exceed their mental and physical endurance, and something as simple as a pen will do fatal damage.

In war, the strength of one’s attacks is not as important as the strength of the enemy’s defenses.

You’re absolutely right, Ruth H, but you’re forgetting that too many in the American public are defined by their short attention span, their failure to understand big issues, and their fixture on images.  While we, the policy wonks, are paying attention to the core issues, there’s no getting around the fact that the American public still likes Obama, because the media relentlessly tells them that he’s cool, classy and “with it.”  Videos that show that this image is false, that he’s actually class-less, petty and geeky, are an important part of chipping away at him.

I’m very worried that, in 2012, Americans who dislike the current state of America will nevertheless subliminally want to vote for this nice guy.  You’ll remember that in 1980, the media had turned on Carter and painted him as a weirdo, which definitely affected the shallow voters (although I admit that, as an 19 year old, I voted for him despite disrespecting him, because the media had painted Reagan in even worse colors).

  • http://ymarsakar.wordpress.com Ymarsakar

If you wish to annihilate evil, you must bring the full force of the assault battery to the field. Choosing weak or convenient attacks because you think they will do the job, won’t do the job. Bring everything and that will annihilate the foe. Hold back because you think an attack is unnecessary, and you will find on the battlefield that you lack enough firepower to get the job done when the crunch comes.
