Quite possibly one of the creepiest videos you’ll ever see

The only thing that’s good about this creepy video is the reminder that the religious revival seems to be over.  Many in the audience have packed up and gone home.  Some realize that they got sold snake oil, while others look back on the day with longing, but without the fiery energy that propelled them four years ago.

Leni Riefenstahl would have done a better job, but all in all this is some great Kool-Aid packaging. Who doesn’t enjoy a driving beat and halos to help sell an idea to enlightened modern Americans?

Obama Optimus Maximus.  Creepy AND scary.  Like the Book of Revelations.  I am neither a fundamentalist nor a biblical literalist, merely a garden variety lapsed catholic, but I believe in the antichrist as a literary type and Revelations as a form of Early Warning Literature in the manner of 1984 or Brave New World (or a Farewell to Arms for all that).  False prophets are always with us, a result of our innate human incredulity, and here you got one big-time.
