At NewsBusters and Webloggin, you can read about the way in which Google News used a Photoshopped picture of a naked George Bush and Tony Blair, both wrapped in an American flag, to illustrate its squiblet about the California Supreme Court’s gay marriage decision.

The same rather startling alliance of picture and news occurred on May 18 at 6:30 P.S.T. at Yahoo New’s most popular site, this time regarding the story of the soldier who used a Koran for target practice. Can you tell me what a rosary (or, at least, a cross) has to do with that story?
