San Francisco protest against ABC on June 24
[I posted this on Monday, but am moving it up to the top because today’s the day]
I just got an email. If there’s a protest in San Francisco, you can bet your bottom dollar that, with a little research, you can find a protest in your neighborhood too.

Join over 900 grassroots Tea Party organizations across the USA as we protest against the loss of objective journalism and the railroading through of Obama’s “unsustainable” National Healthcare program without so much as a single dissenting voice!
Bay Area Patriots are invited to join together this Wednesday, June 24th, to peacefully voice their opposition to ABC’s pretense of objective journalism and Obama’s Healthcare Infomercial on ABC.
TIME: 5PM – 7PM on Wednesday, June 24th.
LOCATION: KGO-7 @ 900 Front St, San Francisco, CA 94111 (just north of Vallejo St.)
PARKING: Plenty of public parking
WHY: Freedom of the Press – Because the media has taken the role of supporter NOT objective reporter and that’s a disservice to the American Public. ABC will kick off two days of OBAMA HEALTHCARE PROMOTION on Wednesday, June 24th, when Anchor Charlie Gibson delivers WORLD NEWS from the Blue Room of the White House @ 5:30PM Local. Then a special edition of “Primetime” — ‘Prescription for America’ – will air from the White House East Room on Wednesday, June 24th, at 10 pm ET / 10 PM PT followed the next day by “Good Morning America,” “World News,” “Nightline,” and ABCNews.com’s “Top Line” that will all feature special programming only about the president’s health care agenda.
ABC has systematically excluded opposing voices on the debate – whether coming from other plans, opponents of the Administration’s Plan or even advertising that isn’t clearly in favor of the President’s Healthcare Plan. (Refer to links below.) This is not a Democrat versus Republican issue – it’s about a return to objective journalism and ABC’s responsibility to bring its viewers open discourse about one of the most important pieces of legislation – healthcare. Not surprising, the Director of Communications at the White House Office of Health Reform is Linda Douglass, who worked as a reporter for ABC News from 1998-2006.
IF YOU CAN MAKE IT: Feel free to bring signs to be used at the Rally. (No sign – No Problem – Still Show Up.) Please keep on message – Emphasize Health Care, Freedom of the Press, and States Rights as Health Care should be a States Rights issue. Some ideas for signs from Local Bay Area Patriots:
- Make “RIP Tombstones” with “ABC”, “NBC”…”Objective Journalism” (boy, one could go on!)

- All Barack Channel – go back to reporting the news!
- Phil Bronstein said “Obama and the Fawning Press need to get a room” – who knew it’d be ABC in the Whitehouse’s East Room?
- Mourning the Death of Objective Journalism and ABC KGO-TV / DT
- Government ALREADY runs Healthcare – Medicare: Expected Insolvency 2017.
- Only in Congress can borrowing $1,600,000,000,000 to insure 11,000,000 be considered a VIABLE Healthcare Plan
- Stop journalism’s love-fest and start the debate!
