The weather forecast and global warming

Last week, the weather forecast was wrong four days out of five, promising sun on rainy days and rain on sunny days.  Today, we were warned of “showers.”  So far, the non-stop rain has ranged from hard to the kind of downpour that would make Noah feel at home.  The inability to forecast weather a day in advance — or even while it’s happening , consider that the forecast still says “showers” — makes me more dubious than ever about long-term climate predictions.
