Watcher’s Council nominations for November 5, 2014

My apologies for not writing today.  My mom is in quite genuine pain from a pelvic fracture (common in elderly ladies who take a fall), but because she couples that pain with her usual narcissistic, manipulative, histrionic behavior, I responded by helping her out quite nicely and then going off on my own and having a temper tantrum.  My version of a temper tantrum is to grab a dog, sit on the couch, and read a junk novel from beginning to end.  It’s amazing how that cheers me up but, even with my fast reading speed, it takes up enough time to preclude blogging.

I can’t blog now, either, because I have to (or, more accurately, get to) read and vote on the Watcher’s Council nominations for the week.  In keeping with new Council policy, I’ll post here verbatim the same post that appears at the Watcher’s Council site:

Welcome to the Watcher’s Council, a blogging group consisting of some of the most incisive blogs in the ‘sphere, and the longest running group of its kind in existence. Every week, the members nominate two posts each, one written by themselves and one written by someone from outside the group for consideration by the whole Council.Then we vote on the best two posts, with the results appearing on Friday morning.

Then return the favor by creating a post on your site linking to the Watcher’s Council contest for the week when it comes out on Wednesday morning
