Watcher’s Council winners for August 8, 2014

Watcher's Council logoI’d be lying if I said I wasn’t proud that my fellow Watcher’s Council members gave me a first place this week. I also know I wasn’t really worthy, since their posts were of such a high standard. If you haven’t yet read this week’s Watcher’s Council offerings, please take a little time to do so. You won’t regret it.

That was a great article and deserving of recognition. And of course the Media’s selective glorification of dead children also extends to tragedies in this country. Like the Conn. school killings.

I think that “if it bleeds it leads” is just the beginning. After all, you could look at Sandy Hook and instantly agitate for armed teachers, rather than for disarmed civilians. Jose is correct that the glorification of dead children is very selective, and always with an eye to forwarding a Leftist agenda.

Selective outrage and editing. I’ve been on a thread on FB with “real friends” and we have been ruminating about the selective outrage and reporting. Ahhh…how the Left wept in 1968 when Robert Kennedy was murdered by Sirhan Sirhan (a Pali) . “I can explain it. I did it for my country.” The progs should be reminded of this every minute of every day – they’re on the same hit list.
