There go those “youths” again

I love this story:  a movie starring John Travolta was set to be filmed in a French suburb, so as to highlight the suffering of the young suburbanites.  Unfortunately, these same suburbanites, clearly unaware of the liberal honor accorded to them, rioted so badly that filming had to stop:

Filming of a new John Travolta movie on a deprived Paris housing estate has been cancelled – after rioting youths torched ten of the production’s cars and threatened crew.

‘From Paris With Love’ was meant to have highlighted social problems in the  grim suburbs which surround the French capital.

By the way, while the newspaper article doesn’t identify the “youths” in any way (saying only that theirs is an “immigrant” neighborhood), stories written a few weeks earlier to celebrate this brave movie making effort give the game away:  the movie is being filmed in the same district that saw the widespread Paris riots three years ago.  If you’ll cast your mind back in time, the disaffected “youths” at the heart of those riots were Muslim immigrants or the children of Muslim immigrants.
