Being played for fools — again . . . and again . . . and again

Bruce Kesler put me wise to this article out of Israel (one pretty much ignored in the US press) about the way America (make that the State Department and the brain trust at the Ivy Leagues) spent twenty years consistently trying to undermine Israel.  And we wonder why the “peace talks” never worked.  Anyway, I particularly appreciated this bit in that article:

One document from the USIS includes a raving commendation to help PA security official Haj Ismail Jabber, “who has played and will continue to play a key political and security role in the West Bank” and was commander of the Palestinian Authority police in Jericho in 1996.

It continued, “He has an “unwavering commitment to the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO)’s agreements with Israel. Haj Ismail ranks as one of those most trusted if not the most trusted by Yasir [sic] Arafat.”

However, five years ago, Jabber, who then was the commander of all PA national security forces, was caught pocketing monthly salaries of 7,000 fictitious troops, netting him about $2 million a month.

American politicians and power-brokers cannot seem to understand that the Palestinians are not well-meaning folk, simply caught in a geopolitical trap, but are instead, genuinely corrupt and often extremely evil excuses for human beings.

As an aside, as an American tax payer, given the money we’ve poured into that cesspool, I’m personally offended by the $2 mil. per month that guy was siphoning into his pocket.  Nobody throws money at me that way.  That’s $24 mil a year.  It pales in comparison, of course, the money Arafat pocketed (billions), but even those sums were insufficient to make Western nations realize that they were being played for fools.

This is also a early warning that if previous administrations, which at least paid lip service to being friends to Israel, were so hostile behind the scenes, especially to Bibi Netanyahu, thinks are only going to get much, much worse for Israel with Barack Hussein in the White House.

Feh!
