Ferguson open thread

My take: The rioting was a foregone conclusion, and that was true regardless of the grand jury’s decision. People would have hit the streets (hard) whether to celebrate or destroy.

Also a foregone conclusion was the fact that Obama did his latest riff on “stupid” police. This president is interested in fomenting, not calming, racial strife. He could have talked about the majesty of our process or about stability and peace and harmony . . . but he didn’t, and he never would have.

There are elements in America that crave anarchy and nihilism.
