Chief Justice John Roberts and actual justice

Chief Justice John Roberts is suddenly in the headlines and none of what’s come out is good — and it confirms my long-held suspicions.

[UPDATE: Allahpundit notes that the justices have been doing zoom meetings, which means there was no personal meeting and only someone on the call could have witnessed the other justices reactions. I’ll leave this here because I don’t like deleting posts and because of the Lin Woods’ tweet, but I think Allahpundit is right and I let my biases get ahead of me.]

I have long believed that Chief Justice Roberts is not his own man. My long-time theory has been that he and his wife illegally adopted their children and that he’s being blackmailed about that. Others think Roberts is a closet gay. The latest theory is that he’s the “John Roberts” on what purports to be one of the Epstein flight logs. If that log is real and the Chief Justice is the John Roberts on the plane, I guess we can add pedophilia to the list of things that may be blackmailable about our Supreme Court justice.

The thing is, back when Dubya fielded Roberts, he actually seemed to be, if not conservative, at least not leftist. Moreover, as I’ve consistently pointed out, on things that the left is not too invested in, he’ll still write decisions that have a vaguely conservative feel to them. However, whenever the leftists have a need, you can just feel Roberts’s shorthairs getting tugged hard, really, really hard.

In the last 24 hours, some amazing stories have emerged about him. Some say they show his hatred for Trump. I say that they show the absolute panic of a man who worries that, if he loses control of the situation, all of his ugliest secrets are about to come out. Whatever motivates him, here’s the dirt.

From the Hal Turner radio show:

From a source deep inside the US Supreme Court as they discussed the pending Texas lawsuit against Pennsylvania et. al. . . .

“Hal, as you know I am a clerk for one of the Justices on SCOTUS. Today was like nothing we have ever seen. The justices are arguing loudly behind closed doors.

The Justices met in a closed and sealed room, as is standard.

Usually it is very calm, however today we could hear screaming all the way down the hall.

They met in person, because they didn’t trust telephonic meeting as secure.

Chief Justice Roberts was screaming

“Are you going to be responsible for the rioting if we hear this case?”

“Don’t tell me about Bush v. Gore, we weren’t dealing with riots then”

“You are forgetting what your role here is Neil, and I don’t want to hear from the two junior justices anymore. I will tell you how you will vote.”

Justice Clarence Thomas says “This is the end of Democracy, John.”

When they left the room, Roberts, the Libs and Kavanugh had big smiles. Alito and Thomas were visibly upset. ACB and Gorsuch didn’t seem fazed at all.”

I have no way of knowing whether that person really is a clerk but this certainly sounds like something Roberts would say. (Also, Taboola decided that Hal Turner wasn’t sufficiently politically correct and pulled its ads. He asks that you donate, so if you’re so inclined….)

If this is true, Roberts is saying that he’d rather let an American election be fraudulently decided than face down mobs intent on destroying America. It’s not h is choice to make. He swore to uphold the Constitution no matter what. That does not give him the discretion to decide when he, personally, thinks it’s worth doing so and when he’s too scared. If this story is true, it’s time for the conservative justices to break with protocol and let the world in on John Roberts’s doings. That is the only way to achieve true justice in America.

And then there’s this tweet from Lin Wood:

And, as I mentioned, the purported flight log (don’t know if it’s real) with the name “John Roberts” (don’t know if it’s him):

All I know is that, when I see any of the above information, it’s consistent with my year’s long sense of John Roberts as a man who sold out because he’s got secrets that, if revealed, can destroy him. The illegal adoption story always made sense because he could have lost his children. They’re grown now, though, so that could mean that (a) the secret is personal to him, as in gay or pedophile; or (b) I’m a nutcase conspiracy theorist.

I despite almost all judges. The exceptions are pretty much limited to Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito. But even I am surprised by the seeming depths to which Roberts has sunk, and his willingness to drag the nation down with him because of his cowardice, whether that’s the fear that his secrets will be exposed or his fear of riots. If it’s the former, I suggest the classic solution from British novels when someone’s secrets are about to come out: A discrete cyanide tablet in the library, after writing a full confession of his sins. (And no!!!! I am not suggesting that anyone harm the Chief Justice. I am truly referring only to the novelist’s habit of having a bad guy write a confession and then commit suicide to avoid the public humiliation of the hangman.)
