A running, funny feud

One of the lesser known songs in Oklahoma is “The farmer and the cowman should be friends,” which takes a humorous look at the rivalries between farmers (crops and fences) and cowman (open range requirements) in the Oklahoma territories.  That song got stuck in my head, although with horribly bowdlerized

The helicopter crash

In Rome, I got internet access just long enough to learn about the crash in Afghanistan that killed 30 Americans, including 22 SEAL team members. The media is obsessed with whether the SEALS who died were involved in the bin Laden raid, which would allow (I imagine) for faux-meaningful articles
